Outreach Opportunities
Refugee Ministry
YWAM Arua is situated in North-Western Uganda, close to some of the largest refugee camps in the world, with hundreds of thousands of South Sudanese and Sudanese refugees, and our outreach teams regularly go into the camps for ministry. Some go just for the day; other teams spend several nights. Ministry opportunities include teaching seminars in the churches, door-to-door evangelism, children’s ministry, youth and sports ministry.

“The Least of These”
There are also many opportunities within Arua. Our staff regularly visit the prisons and hospitals to minister to inmates and patients. We also partner with another organisation to run an after-school children’s centre called Nazareth House, which has 3 regular weekly Bible programs for children and youth of difference ages – when they all come together, they can have up to 700 children!
As well as their regular programs, Nazareth House also regularly runs seminars for the parents of the children that attend, with past topics including reproductive & prenatal health, marriage & parenting.

Village Ministry
As well as refugee ministry, the same opportunities exist in a number of villages around Arua, ministering to rural Ugandan tribes. Some of our staff have recently pioneered a new regular children’s ministry program in Logiri – a sprawling community on the border with D.R. Congo.
